Macbook VS PC Laptop
Start shutting down your Macbook and then close it.

The Macbook will not go to sleep and shut down.
The PC will try to sleep and may crash when reopened

The next time a Mac OS update comes out start updating and then close your Macbook

The Macbook will update
The PC..... Lets just say it won't be a good thing.  mrgreen
